Hollywood VSLs – Eliminate Competition And Maximize Sales

I spent hours reading books and watching how-to videos. I did everything they told me to — even spending thousands of dollars on making sales videos — yet nothing ever seemed to work.

Whether it was dating products, fat loss supplements, or trendy t-shirts, I was never able to make more than a couple hundred dollars selling online.

First, let me tell who this friend is and why I was so willing to take his advice.

He was a college dropout who moved across the country to make it big in Los Angeles, creating a business that sold over 8-figures every year. The company became so successful, it was featured on Y-Combinator.

But that wasn’t successful enough for him. Wanting more, he started another company from scratch, building it to 7-figures in just one year with thousands of extremely loyal customers.

That’s when it all started making sense. I was producing sales pages using everything I knew about getting people to buy. But I’d hardly put any focus into getting people to actually want to see!

How are you supposed to sell anything when there are other guys out there selling the same exact product but like this?

Not only does this video bring in tons of customers from even the coldest mailing lists, it also creates a “moat” that prevents competition. No one can copy them — how would they?

Even though the product they sell could be easily copied, their marketing isn’t. As a result, no one can sell a similar product to the same audience. Because they simply won’t be able to make the numbers work like Resurge can with its Movie-VSL.

When you create this same level of storytelling with drama and attention to production, you make your own entirely unique category. Virtually no one else will be able to compete.

Instead, they’ll be left to fight over the crumbs using the same old traditional marketing. And you’ll get to join the big dogs up on their yachts, printing millions of dollars every year.

Take a look at another example…

The majority of people wouldn’t guess that this is even an ad! This is a video sales letter produced by a shoe company called VivoBarefoot, and they sell their product using this “Shoespiracy” documentary Movie-VSL.

Rather than trying to compete with Nike or Adidas by spending billions of dollars sponsoring some athlete, VivoBarefoot went in the completely opposite direction. They produced a simple video that was both wildly controversial and entertaining. It’s gone viral with millions of free views on YouTube.

But here’s the really special thing that VivoBarefoot did:

They didn’t create customers. Instead, VivoBarefoot created “True Believers.” 

A.k.a ultimate fans that were completely sold on the company’s message.

Being a True Believer means buying larger quantities of VivoBarefoot more often — and then telling their friends to go  buy VivoBarefoots too.

They did this by taking a really controversial opinion (modern shoes are the real cause of joint pain) and proving it to people with facts and a really well-told story. WIth a Movie-VSL, they were able to convince people to throw out their current shoes and buy only VivoBarefoot.

That’s why to get the same results as them, you need to create a Movie-VSL that is equally as captivating. That creates the trust necessary to create loyal, passionate followers.

One last example…

Instantly viral — no buckets of money required.

Just a creative story delivered by someone with personality. This video shows that creating one of these “Movie-VSLs” doesn’t have to be about making some scammy sales video. Instead, it can be funny. Or dramatic. Or even inspiring.

So long as your Movie-VSL is entertaining, your audience will listen to your every word, including your sales message…

…and therefore be much more likely to buy your product.

With a Movie-VSL, this is called making “addicting content.” With a seriously fun, entertaining, or compelling message, people are glued to watching the video until the end.

They’re essentially in a trance-like state that allows you to get inside their mind and get them to buy your product.

Your viewers completely drop their guards because they don’t realize a Movie-VSL is an ad. They just perceive it as really good content.

Just think of what it would mean if every person who landed on your sales page read the entire thing. Your sales would skyrocket!
